EVERYONE MUST READ!!!!!!!!

There’s a few thing I would like to address.  As you can tell FBO is growing in leaps and bounds! With the amount of new and existing clients  there has been some things brought to my attention. First off, being on time for class.  Getting here  1 min before class starts and not being ready to go, not only puts you behind  but the entire class behind because we have to stop just for you!! Next,  is about pre wod  mobility. We have a Mobility coach who runs a class every week teaching different mobility movements which most of you do not take advantage of.  These are things you should be doing prior to the start of class because we only have one hour per class to fit everything in. Mobility is  something  you should be doing on your own pre and post workout!!! We spend a lot of time working on weightlifting and we  use that teaching time as our warm up.  Some boxes use warm up wods we use weight lifting technique as ours.

Next point, the condition of the box after you workout.  Every night I clean up water bottles, tape, coffee cups, boxes, bands and plates. It’s really simple, if you use it PUT BACK!!! Feel free to use any of the 8 trash cans that are around the gym to throw your stuff away. A little gym courtesy goes a long way.  Our classes are growing and growing so please use the locker room for all of bags, shoes, coats or any of your personal things.  If you are not comfortable with that please leave them in your car not in the middle of  the gym floor!!  We have a great box here at FBO,  and if everyone help’s out with these issues things will continue to run smooth.  Please feel free to contact me with any question’s comments or concerns.  If there is anything we can do better as a staff don’t hesitate to to let us know.

Thank You,

FBO

  1. Agreed! I think it would be a good idea, at this point with all the growth with your business, to add a suggestion box, either in the hallway or the locker room, where members could feel free to add any thoughts/ideas to all the positive reasons, a lot of us have been there for so long, and also to sustain continued growth!

  3. Well said, I’m just seeing this and appreciate everything you do for us. I might stop in to watch a team WOD while I’m out and promise to bring Missy with me. I’ll pick her up if I have to. Also, I think it was wonderful that you were there this past weekend for Meg. Your support and training means the world to her. When are the mobility classes?

  4. . After reading your comments on the website I thought it would be appropriate to share something I’ve observed. In my opinion, what separates FBO from others is our camaraderie, compassion for one another, and willingness to support fellow “box members” regardless of ability; however, lately I have observed some starting to put away weights, etc prior to other members finishing…this behavior isn’t consistent with what I know we are–it’s not always…but perhaps a gentle reminder to all of us to support everyone! maybe my observations are the exception, but I thought I should share given our recent growth.

  5. I am the first to admit that I bring my gym bag on to the floor. I mainly keep it with me because it is full of voodoo floss, lacrosse balls, a rumble roller and other miscellaneous mobility tools. I am happy to share the stuff as well as the information I have gained from several seminars I have attended. You need only ask. I would love to see more of you guys on Saturdays and Lumpy and I are working to bring in some other wellness opportunities so that we might all become better athletes. A little mobility and movement can go a long way for increasing performance, reducing injury and helping with recovery. Take care of your machine and it will serve you well. Neglect it and you will eventually suffer the consequences. Thank you to FBO for wanting to provide the best for the members and I promise to do my part to be early for class and keep my crap out of the way 🙂
